PROGRAM MANAGER
TASKS:
- Manages
program ensuring implementation and prescribed activities are carried out
according to specified objectives.
- Plans
and develops methods and procedures for implementing international
programs, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises
control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of
program.
- Selects
personnel according to knowledge and experience in area with which program
is concerned.
- Confers
with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for
functions and phases of program.
- Personally
directs and coordinates subordinate managerial personnel activities to
ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective
and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and
attain objectives.
- Supervises,
evaluates and provides direction for logistical support staff.
- Supervises
a large variety of logistical tasks under various conditions in developing
countries.
- Negotiates
goods and services that must be provided and inclusion of the goods and
services in contractual documents such as the basic contract, contract
modifications, task orders and other documents as required.
- Manages
task orders and service requests.
- Manages
cash flow to provide subcontractor funding for the procurement of goods
and services in project countries.
- Supervises,
evaluates, and provides direction for the logistical support staff on
specific task orders.
- Reviews
all subcontractor invoices and procurement orders for specific tasks to
ensure that only approved charges are paid.
- Prepares
program reports for superiors.
- Controls
expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
- Some
international travel required.
- This
position will be housed in the DC Metro Area.
PROGRAM MANAGER
QUALIFICATIONS:
The desired candidate must possess one
of the following education requirements along with the specified number of
year’s experience:
1) A
Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 15 years of international experience
or
2) A
Master’s Degree with 10 years of international experience
Posses a working knowledge of
International programs, U.S. Government procurement regulations, and foreign
languages are helpful
